Rating: 2/10Run down and shoddy
The room that we were allowed to use with our dog smelt of animal urine among other things. It was so uncomfortable that we slept with the patio door open all night just to breathe. The bed/furniture in the room was very worn and also disgusting. We were so unhappy that we spent much of the evening walking, just to be free of the smell and environment of the room at this location. The room was not even fit for my dog to be honest. Definitely not what was expected of the Howard Johnson. We originally planned a two night stay - we checked out early the next morning and quickly left Victoria and decided to explore Vancouver Island.
