They brought to our room pet bowls and a list of pet sitters & groomers. Our dog loved it there. There's even a little piazza next to the hotel for walking. The room was spacious, comfortable, and updated. There was a bathtub & a separate shower. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was yummy. good coffee. |

La Quinta Inn Stes Perimeter, Atlanta, Georgia - Reviewed by Barbara on 2010-03-29 Pets: Dogs: 35 lb Basset Hound; Cats: 2 We ended up staying at the La Quinta, as extended stay guests. The room was better than expected; hotel staff very friendly and kind. No fee for pets, and no limit (I am sure within reason). We were relocating across the country; and it was nice to have a place to lay our heads carefree after arrival. The only reason I wouldn't give this hotel a perfect score was that we weren't aware that we had to make long term reservations upfront. The computer only allows for reservations to be made for two or three weeks; we needed a place to stay for a few months. At one point they had to ask us to check out of our room so they could fulfill a reservation that was previously made. It was a total pain for us, but I understand that someone else was expecting a room. They said it was a rare occurance (Comic Con) was in town and every hotel in the area was sold out. Rooms are reasonable and there were no pet fees or deposits. I took the time to write to LaQuinta to thank them for being so pet friendly. |

Best Western Bedford Inn, Bedford, Pennsylvania - Reviewed by Marsha on 2010-02-07 Pets: 70-lb bull terrier We had a spacious king-bed room with lots of bright windows. Ground floor rooms were not available, but there was an elevator. Very clean room, slightly dated. linens and carpet a bit thread-bare. Knowing we were going to be staying at some bargain hotels during our travels with the dog, we brought our own feather pillows and fluffy towels and, of course, His Monkness, the dog has his own comfy space. Not much in the way of grounds for dog walking - mostly just a big parking lot, but that works. Pleasant small town with a good steak house in walking distance. Housekeeping staff were stand-offish with the dog until we introduced him and they saw he had good manners and was terribly happy to meet them. There seemed to be a lot of young people "in residence" so perhaps it is also used by the local university. Standard breakfast room. |

The size of the suite allowed for room for 2 adults and dog comfortably without tripping over each other. Rooms were clean and there was not a lot of knick knacks to be scared from the dogs reach or tail. The staff were helpful in finding per friendly acitivities, dog parks and places to go and eat with our pet. They are surrounded by parks and easily accessible areas for dog walking and a large field behind them for play. |

Red Roof Inn Benton Harbor, Benton Harbor, Michigan - Reviewed by Anjuli on 2009-09-12 Pets: 45 lb. Shepherd mix My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The area is not so great- the back of the hotel looks scary and dirty, but the rooms were very presentable and extremely clean. If you can get over the weird dirtiness of the outside, it's definitely a good value for the money. And I don't think I've had any hotel be so accomodating to my pet. |

La Quinta Inn & Stes Flagstaff, Flagstaff, Arizona - Reviewed by Elizabeth on 2009-07-08 Pets: one (very timid) 7.5 pound white cat Some hotels say they are pet friendly, but this one means it, and the pets know it. Previously we stayed a night at an an Amarillo "pet-friendly" hotel and my cat was terrified from the moment we arrived. At the Flagstaff AZ La Quinta Inn she immediately relaxed and knew she was among friends -even if they let out a few barks here and there. Because my little cat was so happy, believe me, I was too. Animals can sense what is and what isn't and this hotel IS truly a pet-friendly hotel and I was very thankful and appreciative. In addition, the "pet-designated" room that we were assigned was absolutely clean and odor-free, a boon to those with pet allergies to those pets with whom they are not accustomed to (this was not the case in the Amarillo hotel). To add to the emphasis of my gratitude for my cat's comfort level, we were not simply traveling on vacation, but were moving cross-country, which is one of the absolutely most difficult things for a pet to contend with. Total thumbs up to the La Quinta Inn in Flagstaff for both pets and people!!!!!! |

Howard Johnson Victoria City, Victoria, British Columbia - Reviewed by Nicole on 2009-05-17 Pets: 18 lb, 1 Jack Russell Terrier The room that we were allowed to use with our dog smelt of animal urine among other things. It was so uncomfortable that we slept with the patio door open all night just to breathe. The bed/furniture in the room was very worn and also disgusting. We were so unhappy that we spent much of the evening walking, just to be free of the smell and environment of the room at this location. The room was not even fit for my dog to be honest. Definitely not what was expected of the Howard Johnson. We originally planned a two night stay - we checked out early the next morning and quickly left Victoria and decided to explore Vancouver Island. |

The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We never paid a fee for our dogs. In fact, they gave us a room upgrade at check-in. Three times we walked our dogs two blocks to Rittenhouse Park so they could relieve themselves. Everyone was cordial as we walked our dogs out of the hotel and up the street. We will definately return to this wonderful hotel. |
Executive Hotel Downtown, Vancouver, British Columbia - Reviewed by Lorna on 2009-02-10 Pets: 35 pound Wheaten Terrier We have stayed at this hotel in the past with our Wheaten Terrier. Its a great location and the rooms are fine. I believe the cost was $15 for him.
We called the 1800 number to book a room in Feb 2009 and were told that the cost was $115 for a Queen room (fine), PLUS $150 for our dog!!! When asked why, we were told that the whole room had to be shampood for future guests with potential allergies. I couldn't believe my ears so I called the hotel directly and was told the same thing. I would not regard this as pet friendly! |
